2024 - Term 4

The studios are always busy in the School Holidays, it is the time where we can catch up, reflect and make sure our plans for the busiest term of the year are ready for action.

We are looking forward to our dancers returning to their dance classes, refreshed with bright eyes and great energy. Our students are always taller, a little more grown up and a little more confident after a holiday break.

Welcome to our new students who have trial classes over the next couple of weeks. We are ready to encourage our youngest students to join in and enjoy their first dance experience. We hope they do enjoy their experience and that Mum and Dad feel secure and happy for at The Australian Dance Academy.

Gypsy and Tiffanie spent two days preparing costumes, headpieces, props and accessories for Duprada Dance Company and Leisa's School of Dancing's performance of Coppélia in Darwin. The costumes are catalogued and stored in Alice Springs due to the better weather conditions and storage space.

Principal Dancers Tiffanie Hughes and Billy Laherty will fly to Darwin to perform the leading roles of Franz and Swanilda.

Darwin Entertainment Centre Saturday 2nd November 2024 at 7.30.

Our own performance of Morning Melodies will be held at the Araluen Arts Centre on Saturday 26th October, 2024 at 11.00am - Our petit ballet dancers will take to the stage and present their class on stage and be involved in a short story. We have a warm encompassing audience of parents, relatives and friends. It is so inspiring to watch our petit ballet dancers as they experience an applause for the first time. Backstage at Araluen can be daunting so we like our little ones in Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 to feel special on stage, we take time to allow them to find their way without fear to slowly build their confidence before they take part in our 'Magic of Dance' performance when they reach Level 4.
